
Sara Blair Lake, J.D., CAE has over two decades of experience as the chief staff executive for healthcare associations and credentialing organisations, and 20 years with global organisations. She is the past chair of the Institute for Credentialing Excellence (I.C.E.) and its Nominations Committee and previously served as Chair of the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) of I.C.E., the accreditation body for professional certification programmes, including the IBCLC. Sara also served as the Chair of the Certified Association Executive (CAE) Commission of the American Association of Association Executives (ASAE), which is the certification body for the professional certification which she herself holds, the CAE. The CAE is the highest professional credential in the association industry with less than five percent of all association professionals having achieved this mark of excellence. Sara is currently serving on the I.C.E. Government Affairs Committee and previously served on the ASAE International Section Council as well as the ASAE Healthcare Committee. She has presented and authored extensively on association management, credentialing, and accreditation, particularly regarding international issues.
She holds a Bachelor’s in Economics and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and is proud to promote the IBCLC, the gold standard in lactation care.
