Sara Blair Lake, J.D., CAE

Sara Blair Lake, J.D., CAE has over two decades of experience as the chief staff executive for healthcare associations and certification boards, with 18 years with global organisations. She is the immediate past chair of the Institute for Credentialing Excellence (I.C.E.) and previously served as the Chair for the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) of I.C.E., the accreditation body for professional certification programmes, including the IBCLC.  Sara also served as the Chair of the Certified Association Executive (CAE) Commission of the American Association of Association Executives (ASAE), which is the certification body for the professional certification which she herself holds, the CAE. She previously served on the ASAE International Council and its Healthcare Committee. She has presented and authored extensively on association management, credentialing, and accreditation, particularly regarding international issues.

She holds a Bachelor’s in Economics and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and is proud to promote the IBCLC, the gold standard in lactation care.
